The 2023 season kicked off with a bang as Dubai Sharks officially launched the Sharks home grounds at Habtoor Polo Resort in September.
A frenzy of effort from our phenomenal volunteer committee pulled off what was unimaginable just 4 months earlier, to see the development of a polo field into rugby pitches complete with new posts, markings, floodlights, and a clubroom to bring everyone together. Sharks Chairman Charlie Taylor said 'At its heart Sharks rugby is a professional, social, family friendly, community club and it is amazing to now have a place we can call home, where we can celebrate all these things we uphold as a club.'
From training and matches to a post run bbq or social drink, we've now got it all covered! We are excited for the future here and already have several events planned in addition to upcoming games and tournaments hosting teams from around the UAE. None of it would have been possible without the generous partnership offered from Mohammed K Al Habtoor, making space for us at his Polo Resort, and the Dubai Sharks are thankful for his support and vision.
Our Sharks teams will be training and playing 3-4 times a week and welcome visitors to come check it out!
